Mackenzie began dancing at the age of 4 at Turning Pointe Dance Centre. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she quickly fell in love and continued her training in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet and Hip Hop. At the age of 9, she became a member of Trilogy Dance Company, where she performed and competed in multiple forms of dance, winning many scholarships and awards throughout the years.
She began teaching and choregraphing at age 17. In Addition to choreographing for Trilogy Dance Company, she has also set pieces for Premiere Dance Centre and Footlights Dance Studio in Eastern Washington. Becoming the assistant coach for Roosevelt High Schools Dance team in Seattle in 2018, helping to run the program, as well as choreographing for their hip-hop team and running her own contemporary team, Mackenzie’s love for dance never fades. She has dance running in her veins and embraces the ability to continue to feed her love for dance through her students. She has such an appreciation for the art and always expresses that the studio is a safe place to take risks, dig deep and allow yourself to feel from the depths of your soul. There is beauty in every step we take, and what a blessing it is that we get to be the ones taking them!
