Melissa Brown

Melissa, a native of Seattle, started dancing at the ripe age of 3. Her training started in tap, ballet, and jazz, later finding Musical Theatre in high school. Shortly after graduating she made the move to New York City to pursue her dance career. She was fortunate to perform and dance all over the world in different productions and tours. Dancing on Norwegian Cruise Lines, a European Tour of Evita, and dancing around the world on a USO tour of Sesame Street are a few of her favorite experiences. When she decided to hang up her professional shoes, she knew that teaching was her second calling.

She is passionate about teaching proper technique and has a very classic Musical Theatre/Jazz choreography quality to her. To further her education, Melissa became certified in Pilates in 2015. She teaches with a strong understanding and emphasis on how the body moves and incorporates Pilates principles into her dance classes.
