Jenny grew up in Southern California and has been dancing and singing since she was 7 years old. She started performing in community theater around her hometown of Claremont, and then went on to dance and sing in many Civic Light Opera shows in Los Angeles, including 42nd Street, Singin’ In the Rain, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Gypsy. After high school, she attended UC Irvine to study dance. Her favorite dance forms were tap and modern. While at UCI, she choreographed for a few local high school shows and then trained for a semester in New York taking class with the American Ballet Theater and numerous Broadway choreographers. She graduated in 1997 with her BFA in Dance. After college, she performed in No, No, Nanette and 7 Brides for 7 Brothers in San Diego and then moved to New York to train and audition. After two years, she moved back to California to co-star in Fascinatin’ Rhythms. After another amazing opportunity took her away from dance for several years, she missed it, and has a reinvigorated desire to be involved in dance, the creativity of it, and inspire young dancers through the love of dance.
